All games have a ‘theme’ or style. There are sports games such as FIFA Football or the Winter Olympics. Then there are racing games like F1 2007 or Toca. Below is a list of the genres that we use in listings and a brief description of what they mean.

Racing	Any form of vehicle racing

RPG	Role playing game
Shoot-em-up	You go around shooting anything that moves
Simulation	Usually flight/flying simulations but can be a simulation of ‘real life’
Sport	Any simulation involving a sport
Strategy	You have to plan ahead
Survival horror	Fighting zombies & other horrors
TV Tie-in	Based on a TV programme
